How much does a car wrap cost for your car?
Pick size, coverage and finish. Chrome and color-shift films cost more per roll and take longer to lay, which is why the finish moves the price more than the color does.
| Finish | Full color change, sedan / coupe |
|---|---|
| Gloss | $3,500 – $6,000 |
| Satin / matte | $3,850 – $6,600 |
| Color shift / flip | $4,725 – $8,100 |
| Chrome / mirror | $7,000 – $12,000 |
| Carbon fiber / brushed | $4,200 – $7,200 |
- Wraps last 3 to 7 years depending on finish and sun exposure.
- Removal later runs $500 to $1,500; budget for it on a lease.
Questions people ask
Why does a chrome wrap cost double?
Chrome film is thin, shows every flaw underneath and cannot be stretched or heated the way gloss film can. Many shops decline full chrome; those that take it charge for the risk and the hours.
How long does a full wrap take?
Three to five days for a sedan including disassembly of handles, lights and trim. Partial wraps are usually one day.
Does a wrap protect paint?
It shields paint from UV and light scuffs but it is not self-healing and does not stop rock chips. Paint protection film does both; see the PPF calculator.
Can I wrap a leased car?
Yes if you remove it before return. Budget $500 to $1,500 for professional removal and expect the paint underneath to look better than the rest of the fleet.
