Questions people ask
Which PPF warranty is transferable to a new owner?
XPEL's Ultimate Plus, Stealth and Ultimate Fusion all transfer when the new owner shows proof of the original install date, and Kavaca's Ceramic Coated film transfers by VIN. The other seven films in this table do not state transferability on the public pages we checked, so we mark them unknown rather than guess. Ask for the written warranty before you assume either way.
What does self-healing actually mean?
Every film in this table uses a heat-activated top coat: light scratches and swirl marks soften and disappear when warmed by the sun or warm water, typically within 20 to 30 minutes.
Does a longer warranty mean a better film?
Mostly, but check the conditions column first. XPEL Ultimate Fusion's 10-year term requires an annual paid inspection to stay valid, which is a real cost a flat 10-year warranty elsewhere does not have.
Why do some rows say 'Unknown'?
We only report what each manufacturer's own warranty or product page states. If a brand does not publish a figure for finish, top coat name or transferability, we mark it unknown instead of assuming it matches a competitor.
