Questions people ask

What is a one-step polish?

A single pass with a finishing polish and pad. It removes light swirls and haze, adds gloss, and takes four to six hours. It will not remove deeper scratches.

What does two-step add?

A compounding stage first, which levels deeper defects, followed by polishing to refine the finish. Expect 85 to 95 percent of visible defects removed.

Can every scratch be polished out?

No. If a scratch catches your fingernail it is likely through the clear coat. Polishing thins clear coat; past a point the panel needs paint.

Should I coat after correction?

Yes. Correction exposes fresh clear coat; a coating locks the result in and keeps new swirls from forming during washes.
